    Here’s an idea: In order to make this phrase “evergreen,
    “…equivalent to more than $700,000 in 2021.”

    I would need a plugin that would query an “inflation calculator” data base to update the dollar figure. I already have one that will update the year.

    Perhaps you might be interested in adding such a feature to your plugin? Or… this could be the function of an entirely new plugin.

    Hey Howard,

    Is there any reason why it would need to be part of this plugin and not a separate entity? I’m not sure why you’d want to convert a currency AND apply inflation at the same time.

    Otherwise, I’m wondering if it would make a good plugin on its own, maybe using the StatBureau Inflation API ??

    Hi David,

    It would most likely be best as a separate plugin, you’re correct.

    However, I can image a use-case scenario where the combined functionality might be useful:

    Let’s say for my Irish-themed WordPress site

    …which is widely read in the Republic of Ireland (Euros) and in Northern Ireland (British Pounds) I wished to write:

    The farmer purchased the site for ￡26 in 1750, which today would be INSERT POUNDS AND INSERT EUROS INSERT INFLATION CALCULATION.

    Thanks for the clarification Howard.

    I’ll take a look. If I implement this, I may do it a separate plugin but allow an integration between the two. I need to think more about it.
