Feature Request – 4 column footer
-
Hello Oliver, Thanks for all your work on this plugin. I suspect I will use it for many more websites this year and next year.
Frequently I use the 4 column footer. I use either 3 or 4 columns and more frequently the 4 columns. I like the way you can stack widgets in the columns. That works perfectly. In this case, I would add a tag cloud to one of the columns. It is optional, but as I put together more websites using this Twenty Seventeen theme and plugin eventually I will want a 4 column option.
Also, if you were to move forward with this, the footer area width should increase to be the same width as the content area. If people are using the 1350px page content width and single column, then there should be a way to make the footer area 1350px wide also. It seems as it is, the footer area is kind of narrow.
Why the default Twenty Seventeen theme came with a two column footer area does not make any sense. Rarely do people make websites with two column footer areas. Almost always websites have three, four or more footer columns columns.
Just a kindly request for a 4 column footer area of the same width as the page content width – since you asked for feature requests. Many people would use this option.
