Feature Question – Blog Comments

    I’m not clear on what features this extension has. Only a limited number of folks will be allowed to post on the WordPress Blog, create pages, etc. so a shared database of usernames and logins isn’t that important to me.

    The feature I’m really looking for is to drive conversation to the discussion board. We currently have a couple of Facebook groups and want to wean people off of that. I’d just love a way to:
    1) Drive all discussion for the post or page to the board.
    2) Have a topic automagically created when a new page is added (or the option to do so) or a new blog post is added.

    Is this something this extension will do?

    (I searched this forum but couldn’t find anything).

    Hello!

    Drive all discussion for the post or page to the board.

    no because it would be considered as duplicate content into same domain, which is not good for seo.
    Plus, conversion from html embedded into WP pages/posts, need to be so switched to appropriate bbcode (which would be quite easy anyway) if not in plain text.

    The way to move users into forum may can be adding nice widgets or shortcodes of posts excerpts into wordpress.

    SEO isn’t a factor in my Discussion Board because it is not public. The body of the text needs to be in WordPress as that is what both the public and the private community can see. If I put the body of the text in the Discussion Board, the general public will not be able to access it.

    I guess I’ll have to come up with my own workaround . . .Thanks for the quick response.
