When I add recipes to a blog entry (via shortcode), I would like to use a different template than for the recipe entries.

The problem is that the layout should look different. E.g. when I use a picture for the blog entry it is repeated by the recipe’s picture (i.e. it shouldn’t be in the recipe template). But when I open a recipe’s page there should be a picture at the top of the page.

Cooked isn’t designed to work this way at this time. You really shouldn’t put the recipe in two places as this creates duplicate content: https://moz.com/learn/seo/duplicate-content

I would suggest using the single recipe page as the main recipe and then linking to that from your blog post.

Thanks a lot for your immediate answers.

For me Cooked works as a database of recipes. And recipes are just a list of ingredients and a list of actions. They are all I need to cook.
In the blog section I write stories about the recipes. But these stories are not relevant for cooking.

Maybe you are right concerning SEO. But actually I liked the possibilities to browse just the recipes. The filters offer more possibilities than the blog section.
