Feature photo resolution

I downloaded Olsen Light yesterday and keen to get started. My only issue is regarding the feature photo. When I add a landscape photo as a feature image, the resolution (when viewed from the front page) is very poor quality. However, when you actually open the post and the image itself the quality is still the same as original. Ultimately, as it’s the feature images that show on the front page all my posts have very poor resolution image.
