    Hello,

When I select a feature image, some of the images are not cropped correctly, due to a portrait image going into a landscape frame. I want to edit the image placement. As far as I am aware, I can not do this anywhere unless I make the original image landscape. These images show on the front of my website with the latest blogs.

I go into lightroom and change the picture to landscape. No other adjustments. When I upload the image to WordPress and change the feature image picture to the new landscape picture, the image quality is severely decreased and looks grainy (once viewed on the website).I have also tried this for a portrait picture.

Is this due to my website being a staging website or is this a theme issue?

    Thanks,

    Just Go Travelling

  • Hi, thanks for reaching out. If you take your site out of maintenance mode for a bit and let us know which image to check, we’d be happy to take a look for you.

    Hey,

Not quite sure what you mean?

The site which I’m having troubles with at the moment is a staging website.

Apologies if I’ve missed something obvious, not that savvy when it comes to WordPress etc, I’m a beginner

No problem. The link you’ve provided isn’t publically accessible. Please, provide a publically accessible URL where we can view the problem. Thanks.

I see, so in order to fix my problem I will have to wait until I transfer the staging website to LIVE?

I can’t say whether we can resolve the issue or not, we just need to start by taking a look. Once we’ve seen the issue we can advise further. You should be able to make your staging site public, perhaps ask Bluehost how that can be done.
