Thanks for including that system status report – it helped a great deal!

Just to confirm: Are you having difficulty with featured product images or just a single featured image on a specific page? Moreover, are you experiencing the same thing after deactivating Jetpack’s lazy loading of images and the image optimisation modules?

@riaanknoetze — Thanks for taking the time and trying to help— much appreciated.

Unfortunately, even after disabling Jetpack’s Image (speed) Optimization the problem and clearing my cache the problem still persists. I’m also no longer subscribing to the Pharmacy Child-Theme and just haven’t had the time to set up my own child theme. So, I’m unable to open a support ticket.

As I pointed out though, the problem is Storefront related, because it persists even when the Child-theme is deactivated.

I can’t be sure if there is a problem with ‘featured product images’ because I’m not using any. The featured image on the home page, the one that is problematic, is just a normal ‘featured image’.

I could use a Image widget instead of a feature image, but that would be a lot of extra work, and not really address the issue— whatever the heck it is.

Please do advise is you have any future suggestions. I’ve tried everything that I can think of and am at my wits end.

And, being that feature image functionality is working properly on WP’s Twenty Nineteen theme, the problem doesn’t appear to be host related.

I’ve just cross-tested thuat on my local installation and wasn’t able to replicate the same thing while running Pharmacy 2.0.14 and Storefront 2.5. On my side, the featured image does seem to work as expected:

It looks like whatever is happening is limited to your site only and might need closer scrutiny by a web developer.

As a last-ditch attempt to get to the bottom of that, have you tried deactivating plugins that might cause a conflict, e.g.
