• I upgraded the theme today to the latest version and immediately noticed that the feature circles on the front page were no longer visible, I simply see the feature image in its entirety.

I primarily use IE 9 when doing admin for a site, however I did check the same site in Firefox and it was working perfectly.

Check if you’re viewing IE9 in compatibility mode by pressing F12.

Compatibility mode is definitely not on. I’ve noticed the same problem if I view the site from my work computer (IE 8). Tried clearing cache and cookies but no luck there either.

Does anyone else see what I mean?

Would love to hear any other suggestions!

Hi Kochanski I appear to have the same issue. My site (dandpsolutions.co) is fine in Safari & Firefox but doesnt appear the same in IE9. Ive tried viewing in IE7 & 8 but it doesnt improve things. Id be grateful for any suggestions.

Can you create your own thread to discuss that?

    Hi Andrew,

I deactivated all other plugins and installed the one you suggested, no change unfortunately.

Any other suggestions welcomed! Is CSS the only thing driving the circle feature?

As far as I can tell the only things that have changed on my PC are the latest versions of Java and MS Silverlight. But I have the same problem when viewing the site from my PC at my day job as mentioned above so it does seem to be an IE related thing somehow.

Yes and you’re trying to get old browsers to use new technology, which is difficult.

I think the issue is really that the theme was never developed for old browsers and it so it takes a lot of time to try to resolve old browser issues. People must be looking at your thread and trying to help, but it takes too much time to look into the issue.

The theme has a “fallback” where it deliberately chooses not to round the circles when animations are not supported by the browser. So, 1, the browser doesn’t support the animations you want and, 2, the without the animations the circles don’t quite work.

Thanks, I appreciate the explanation ??

I’ve made do for now by editing my feature images to be within a circle so that it looks similar to the pretty version!
