FB share counts not properly displaying in Firefox

  • Hello – i’m noticing that different Facebook share counts are showing up in Firefox vs IE and Chrome. The counts in IE and Chrome match ShareTally.co, while in Firefox I’m seeing zero FB shares (while ShareTally shows positive numbers), and despite the fact that there are share counts displayed for G+ and Pinterest, the share total is showing “0 Shares.”

    I’m on the latest plugin version 2.5.7

    Any insights or suggestions?

    Hi mpt1,
    I tested the page with Chrome, FireFox, IE11 and Edge and I see 10 shares on each browser.

    Maybe on FireFox you are using an extension as AdBlock or something like that?
    Try disabling the extensions and make a test.

    I’m not using AdBlock (or similar) extensions. I did try disabling all FF plugins and extensions, and am still not seeing Facebook counts in Firefox. Any other thoughts on what might be going on?

    Hi mpt1,
    I have no idea about the cause because I can not replicate the problem (in my FireFox I see the number of shares).

    Surely there something that is blocking the javascript that counts the number of shares but it could be an isolated problem.
    If you have the chance to try from another computer (with another internet connection) would be great.
    This way we are sure if the problem is only your FireFox or not ??
