    Hi all,

I am having some issues with FB Data Sets and linking them to Collections on the FB and Instagram.

I created product sets that match to the product categories and linked the two.

Now, in Commerce manager I am faced with:
    1. Some product sets can not be used as Collection. It just doe snot appear there, also I can see product set itself

    2. Some product sets missing products (I did force product resync). Looking at set property I can see that all SKUs must be there (filter is there), but only few products are actually shown.

    3. Most of newly created collections can not be edited. They have lock and saying “partner platform”. All collections are created in exact same manner, so my assumption is the problem with product set itself

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Rudolf

  • Hi there,

If I understand correctly, you are trying create product collection using the product sets as described here: How to create a Collection / Product Set, right?

Some product sets can not be used as Collection. It just doe snot appear there, also I can see product set itself

Are you trying to create the collection on Facebook or in Instagram?

Please note that Instagram checkout/shopping is not supported by Facebook for WooCommerce yet.

Some product sets missing products (I did force product resync). Looking at set property I can see that all SKUs must be there (filter is there), but only few products are actually shown.

Does it mean, you have products under the set in selected in WooCommerce but some of them don’t appear on Facebook? Do you have these products synced to the Facebook catalog?

Most of newly created collections can not be edited. They have lock and saying “partner platform”. All collections are created in exact same manner, so my assumption is the problem with product set itself

Can you please share a screenshot of what you see on the collection page?

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, here are a few free options:

    Thanks for replying,

I was investigating the issues I have and, I think, I found the root cause, however I am not able to fix it.

Originally, I was using old version of the plugin and feed was done via file. With new version, it is a WooCommerce Integration. So, I had two data sources with same products. Products created with original feed could not be updated with new method.

Naturally, I only need one data source, so I followed the help article and removed the old data source. It was supposed to remove all the associated products, but it did not and now I am stuck.
I have products that can’t be removed or updated as FB wants me to use “original method” to do so, which I no longer have access to.

I opened a ticket with FB support and wait for reply.

In relation to the collections, I think it is failing because of the above product issues. In any case, this has to be fixed first before I can test anything else.

    Hello!

Thanks for the update on the issue you see with the Facebook for WooCommerce extension. If you have been able to get the system to update I suggest using our [Facebook tools plugin](https://d.pr/QIx4Sq) next. This will reset everything and allow you to start over like it’s a new connection to your Facebook shop. It will temporarily remove all products then add them back in when you run the connection process again.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello
Please help me with some tips. I try to make Fb product sets that I mapped with the desired product category from the woocommerce store. In the Facebook shop is visible the category I made but in it I defend only one product, namely the first in my category in woocommerce. I edited the product set in the Facebook shop where as filters are applied to the respective products in the category but except for the one that is visible that has all the other variables do not have variables and probably therefore do not appear
I mention that the shop is for sale shoes and there are variable products
