• After problems with getting FB to show the correct image I reauthorised and now the page is not showing in ‘Select facebook pages for auto publish’.

In the app, ‘Make posts public?’ is live and available to the public. However in ‘Current Submission’ (and I think this is new), publish_pages, manage_pages require screencasts for them to approve. It says “we need to see your app using [eg] publish_pages so we can see that it doesn’t violate our policies. Upload a video screencast walkthrough using any method, (even recording with your phone).”

But I have no idea what I’m supposed to do. What steps do I video?

Approved items in the app now only include email, public_profile and user_friends.

I’m getting this sort of error in logs: 939441832771425/feed : (#200) The user hasn’t authorized the application to perform this action

  • Hello digbymaass,

If you have sufficient permissions as per the page roles then it will appears after authorising the app.
[ You can see the different Page roles and what they can do in Facebook Help Center: https://www.facebook.com/help/289207354498410/?ref=u2u ]

Users that are listed as Admin, Developer or Tester can be asked for any permission at any time, reviewed or not – so that you can actually develop and test your app, before you submit it for review.

However this is not seems to be the plugin’s issue, can you please send your wp login details to https://xyzscripts.com/support/ then we can check it for you.
    Thanks

“Your app doesn’t need to submit for manage_pages or publish_pages to post to Pages or blogs that you admin. As an app admin, you can already access these permissions and post to your own timeline, pages and groups.
You can provide access to additional users by adding them to your app as admin or developers. Only apply for manage_pages or publish_pages if your app uses a public-facing login that third party users will access externally”

It looks like the plugin has lost it’s connection to the app. How do I add it again to the app? Reauthorising doesn’t do it.

    Hello digbymaass ,
Sorry for the inconveniences but could you please create a new app and try again?

Done that. Still only showing ‘Profile Page’. I sent you an Admin login via your support page.

Crossed messages. I sent you one already (not my name but an Admin one). Have you found it? Does it work?

You can check the logs, we tried with our app,and it works fine, please ensure you set the site url properly.Otherwise the authorisation will not fail.

[ Apps > Settings > Edit settings > Website > Site URL. Set the site url as : https://carnethy.com ]

The site URL is set correctly. After your checking I had to authorise. The page is still not available.

Maybe YOU should try making a new app? It may be that FB have changed the way Apps work.

Did you try using our app? I’m sure it’s set up correctly.

    Didn’t work.

There is no need of it.
I created a new app for you and then verified it.
I hope you checked the log .
please check the app. and authorise it, may be you overlooked something in the settings .

I logged in using Chrome and now it has appeared. Baffled. It or FB doesn’t like Firefox or Safari on a Mac! As soon as I clicked Authorise Facebook came up and asked permission for the Page. Clicked ok and the page appeared in the Plugin dialog.
