Recently, I have been receiving multiple emails that say,

Nonce check failed, login aborted. This usually due to your browser’s privacy settings or a server-side caching plugin. If you get this error on multiple browsers, please contact the site administrator.

I also recently starting using WT3 Total Cache plugin. Is this then a caching issue, and does anyone have any idea how to fix it so I can still use WT3 Cache?

    Thanks,
    Alex

…Wouldn’t just disabling that plugin for a second be a very easy way to answer this question…?

Disable the cache plugin’s options one at a time until you figure out which one is breaking it.

I use WT3 Total cache and more than likely i can tell you whats wrong without even checking. You are probably minifying js in wt3 or wt3 is trying to defer parsing of the js that handles the fb api in wp fb autoconnect. Disable all caching and minifying and defering of js in wt3.

I have had this exact problem with wt3 and other social user plugins like comment boxes, like boxe etc.

If you want WT3 to handle java scripts like that (including this plugins js), you need to configure it properly and that part is extremely tricky.

Justin, yes, it would be easy and I’ll try it. It seems that some people are successfully logging in, though, while others are not. I still get this error about 10 x a day but I’m still getting new signups

philmay, thanks for weighing in. Makes sense what you said.

I have some time soon to trouble shoot this and I’ll let you guys know the results.

    Thanks,
    Alex

I have this same problem on my site. But logging in regularly with wordpress works fine.
I dont have any cache plugin installed and theme minifier/js disabled but still getting this same error message.

    Hi,

Problem usually occurs when we activate caching plugin with FB login/connect plugin. So to find out the exact problem I cache only one page of my website and able to replicate that. To resolve I need to change default setting of caching plugin.

Hope that would help you out.

Thanks thieveingbear. Yeah, I think caching is definitely the culprit here.
