Fb guest chat plugin not working

  • Hi,

    Im not sure if this is the right place to post this but we use the fb chat plugin on our website but since yesterday the ‘guest’ ability isn’t working (if you continue with your fb profile, that works) when you click on ‘continue as guest’ is says the ‘content is no longer available’ and says there’s no Internet connection? This isn’t just me either others at our business have reported the same issue.

    I’ve tried re-publishing the plug in to our website but that doesn’t seem to do anything? Any guidance anyone could give me would be very useful.

    I’m from Brazil and I also have the same problem on our website. The plugin does not work and the same error appears when chatting with customers.
    Have you managed to resolve it yet?

    @ragnarls hey, no unfortunately not, we’re still experiencing the issue, I wonder if it’s a worldwide bug in Facebooks end?

    hey how’s it going? The problem still persists here. I tried everything I could to fix it, but nothing made it work again.
    Only if it’s a worldwide bug in messenger? I don’t know.
    The problem is plaguing me.

    Same problem here, from Italy, with ‘continue as guest’ option!

    No update yet however it has been reported as a bug on meta suite so fb know about the bug and apparently they are working on it

    Same issue here in Greece.

    I am having this issue as well. It worked previously when the widget was installed directly in the code, but in my WordPress website, using this plugin, Guest mode is not enabled, for the same chat configuration.

    Base on Meta Business Suite:

    “Chat Plugin is going away soon“
    On May 9, 2024, you will no longer be able to access any functionalities of Chat Plugin. Effective immediately, Chat Plugin in guest mode is no longer available. Other features like m.me links will still be available for you to use.
