    HI

I have a Facebook feed via Feed Them Social by SlickRemix, and it stopped working. through my troubleshooting i worked out that the scripts were being blocked. I turned on safe mode and it started working. so turned it off (stopped working) and enabled Disable placeholder insertion and it started working. So disabled Disable placeholder insertion, and went to the service and unticked placeholder but this didn’t work.

So currently i have Disable placeholder insertion enabled to allow the FB feed to work.

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @awr10e,

I installed the plugin in question on a test site, enabled the Facebook integration in Complianz and the Facebook Feed content from Feed Them Social was correctly blocked prior to obtaining consent; and only loaded after obtaining consent.

If you would like for Complianz to stop blocking Facebook-related scripts on your site, you can disable the Facebook integration slider individually under Complianz > Integrations > Services (so, make sure disable the slider as well, not just the Placeholder checkbox).

Keep in mind that this means that you’re no longer obtaining consent before loading Facebook.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Hi

Apologies i wasn’t clear. The issue arises once you have consented. The links and scrolling stop working (at least).

Turning off the service as mentioned doesn’t help, the only thing that allowed the plugin to work properly was to enable Disable placeholder insertion

    Thanks

    Hi @awr10e,

Could you provide to the URL/Page of your site where we can see this issue occur? I couldn’t immediately find the Feed in question on your website.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Hi @awr10e,

Thanks, could you additionally re-enable the placeholder insertion so that we’re able to see the issue occur on your site?

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Hi @awr10e,

Thanks for that. I’ve taken a look at the behavior, although this seems to be working exactly as I would have expected it to do.

The Facebook content is blocked before obtaining consent, and once you’ve accepted Marketing cookies (either in the Cookie Banner or by clicking the Facebook Placeholder) the content is correctly initialized.

I have recorded a short video demonstrating the behavior, which can be viewed here: https://gyazo.com/6620cc9a69b1e134b550c7e3ea71ad84

    Kind regards, Jarno

All seems to be working now, don’t know why or how, not changed anything. Can only put it down to needing to renew the cookie or something

    Thanks for your help
