FB description is corrupt
-
After the update to when inserting images that creates a [pe2] tag instead of a regular a href link the description that is sent to Facebook has been corrupt. It will now send the actual [p] tag information which does not look good at all.
An exemple is:
I have a post that is shared to Facebook. The integration is WordPress Jetpack Social. On my Facebook page a new link appears linking to my blog. All this is correct. It will also send the correct image, BUT the text that goes along is suppose to be from the post. Before Facebook didn’t show the html-code if the post begun with an image. But when this plugin changed to insert images as their own pe2-tags, then if posts begin with an image this html-code is shown on Facebook. That does not look good at all!!So one of my latest posts from my blog on Facebook has a nice image but the description starts with…
[pe2-image src=”https://lh5.ggpht.com/-ioFnlQylfAg/UUoWwcuFl3I/AAAAAAAAPXo/q-csBXNGSoI/s144-c/itf_bild.png” href=”https://picasaweb.google.com/117457933165420263047/Bloggbilder20102012#5857519286947780466″ caption=”” type=”image” alt=”itf_bild.png” ]….Look at my Facebook page for more examples and to see for your self:
https://www.facebook.com/itpejlAs I said my Facebook integration is just “standard” Jetpack.
