    Hello,

For non logged in users it displays in an ugly red block:
“You need to accept third-party cookies in your browser in order to comment using this social plugin.”

Every now and then it gives an URL Unreachable / Faccebook cannot communicate with this page/ reach this URL error something like that.

Does anybody know how to fix it or even hide the error message block?

This is not an issue of the plugin and cannot elaborate on this issue (it has been asked before in the support forum).

it is relevant and part of the plugin… and had there been an easy way to search the forum then maybe it would have helped locate a possible answer but sounds more like you are saying you are unwilling to elaborate.

@tripledm no it’s not that I don’t want to, it’s that I can’t find much information and clearly is an issue outside of the plugin and is actually an issue with the social comment box itself and therefore is something only Facebook can answer. Searching for it in Google (which I assume you have already done) shows loads of non-WP sites with the issue. Even the official Facebook comments homepage has the content within the search but not on the page itself:
    https://www.google.com/search?q=You+need+to+accept+third-party+cookies+in+your+browser+in+order+to+comment+using+this+social+plugin

I am also not responsible for the search functionality of WordPress’ forums.

but what you could do is include “how to’s” in the installation…

what I have found is that www and non-www in front of the URL could affect the URL message, as for the cookies message still non the wiser so maybe you have the answer but you not responsible so I will search on and maybe some other person might be willing to share a solution.

@tripledm I’m happy to share it but out of the 500,000 downloads you’re the second person to tell me about it. I’ve tried to research into why (enough to include on the plugin homepage) but can’t. I’m really sorry I couldn’t help you more.

out of 500 000 well google seem to disagree it’s just that people don’t care as much as I do (and others) about having a flashing red error displayed.

The URL message requires change of the URL in facebook APP to www or non-www and the site needs to set to only used one. That solves the “cannot crawl” URL error.

As for the other, few solutions seen not tried any will do so soon and happy to share if it works as it is an opensource community after all ??
