I recommend enabling error logging: https://www.sunshinephotocart.com/docs/enabling-error-logging/

This will start adding any PHP errors to a log file which may give us clues as to what is not working properly.

Then I recommend temporarily disabling all non-Sunshine plugins and using a default WordPress theme and trying again. If it works when just Sunshine is active then we can conclude it is a conflict with something else. You can then enable things back one by one and testing after each. When it breaks, then you know which one is the cause of the conflict. This helps determine where the conflict is and we can then go from there. You can learn more here on how to do this without affecting your live site: https://www.sunshinephotocart.com/docs/how-to-test-for-conflicts-with-other-plugins/

Unfortunately, after many hours…THE FAVORITES option for Elementor Free Version using Hello Theme and only 3 plugins…Elementor Add-ons, and 2 other irrelevant plugins…as ALL plugins were turned off and the CRITICAL ERRORS still persisted.

FYI – Favorites does not work with Elementor it appears!

Have you enabled the error logs so we can see what is in there to give a clue as to what is not working?

See this test site with Elementor and Hello Theme active. Everything including Favorites is working as expected (expires in 7 days): https://truthful-piranha-5fcba6.instawp.xyz/client-galleries/gallery/dogs/

I do not see the Favorites feature currently active on your site to see if there are any JavaScript errors that could be causing the issues.

i use elementor, and it works with sunshine.
Did you try a other theme in sunshine settings?
admin > settings > design > i use cover for sunshine page theme and gallery theme

    ps.

Derek, when sharing the favorites, there is a blank line?

Just wanted to throw 2 cents into this, may or may not be the problem at all, but that error message on similar circumstances cropped up for me and it ended up being permissions on the wp-admin folder, more specifically my .htaccess limited access to it from certain IPs. May not be the situation here, but thought I’d throw that out there.

What that tells me is there was a JavaScript error within Elementor with your specific site preventing the favorites link from working. Switching to the Sunshine theme removed this. If you want to use Elementor + Sunshine for your galleries, let me know – just make sure you enable favorites so I can see the error first hand and I can investigate further.
