• Hi! I have a growing list of plugins that I want to test and maybe use in WordPress in the future. It would be nice if it were possible to add plugins to a favorites list in my account, which could be accessed from the plugins list in the dashboard of the WordPress installation I am logged in to. Many plugins are paid, so it would be natural to keep a favorites list, local or even remote, in the WordPress account.

    Like these favorites?

Yeah, that will never happen. You can favorite a plugin in the WordPress repo in your profile here but 3rd party plugins or themes will never show up in a favorite list here.

I’m not talking about plugins that are outside the WordPress repository. If the repository already allow us to favorite plugins, why this feature cannot be available in the dashboard of WP installations?

You mean when you log into your dashboard on your own site and there’s a favorite plugins on your own dashboard?

If the repository already allow us to favorite plugins,

That’s here on this site, yes.

why this feature cannot be available in the dashboard of WP installations?

As long as you realize that the favorites there on your site would not in anyway, shape or form connected to the favorites on this www.remarpro.com site then that should be doable though probably via a plugin.

I mention that because forum accounts have no connection to anyone’s site at all. The forum accounts never have and if there was it would raise a whole slew of privacy concerns.

There is no way to connect my forum account with a WordPress installation and that’s a good thing.

I understand the concerns about security and I totally agree. I think such favorite feature could be restricted to my site anyway and that is enough to help me a lot.
