    Hi

I’ve read other posts on the topic.
    I did that way
    # Make sure it is named favicon.ico
    # Upload it to the home directory of your site. E.g.: https://op111.net/favicon.ico
    # Install and activate Extended Options
    # Go to Dashboard, Settings, Extended, Favicon Meta Links
    # Select “Favicon in root directory”
    # Scroll down and click Save Changes

The favicon is dispalyed in the preview, but doesn’t show on browser (Safari and Firefox).

    Theme used is Technical speech
    https:///www.dpwatch.com
    Thanks

  • Thanks very much songdog. Unfortunately, I still can’t get it to connect. I’ve got cyberduck and imported the ftp configuration settings from the webhost but they don’t work and I’ve tried the manual settings they give me too. Still can’t get it to connect. Aargh! The coding you give is in the header coding and correct by the way thanks.

OK now I am connected but the directory is just named / and the upload fails. Error message: 550 Can’t change directory to /http:/quallpublications.co.uk: No such file or directory. This must be a lack of very basic knowledge on my part.

Rvoodoo, Guess we’re all beholden to M$oft somehow, most of the time unfortunately….

Bratshce, keep trying to get your FTP client working. You will need it at some point. Ask your web host for settings again….

Thanks for your help songdogtech. I think you got me sorted on the favicon issue and it will be fine when I have learned what is wrong with the ftp settings.

I am using Firefox on a Mac and safari.
If it shows with you then, I guess that’s the point.
    It’s fine then….
