(Favicon?) images in menu title

I think I’m answering my own question here, but is there any way of adding a Favicon image to a title to show in the menu bar?

For instance, I need to add a language flag as a prefix to a title in the vertical menu on this blog.

I guess that would mess up how WP deals with titles?

Alternatively how could I add a clickable (to new page) language flag underneath the menu column on the left-hand side?
