    Hi guys,

I have noticed that while Wordfence is active the favicon and tab preview are blocked in my browser (tried with Edge, Chrome and Safari).

Although minor, it’s quite annoying when I build a site for a customer and use Wordfence as their favicon is also not displaying.

Is there a setting that can prevent this?

    Many thanks.

    Hi @jasoncsh,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Wordfence might be blocking your .png file located at https://www.shwebhosts.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/favicon.png

Most browsers will expect a favicon.ico file instead of a .png. You can resolve this with the following steps:

    1. Convert favicon.png into an .ico file.
    2. Rename the file to favicon.ico and move it to the root directory.
    3. Your favicon should be accessible at https://www.shwebhosts.co.uk/favicon.ico

Note that most browsers will default to /favicon.ico so you should make sure that your image is placed there.

You can follow these steps for any other sites you build for your customers, as well.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,
    Tiffany
