    Hi, could you advise whether or not the favicon.ico gets packaged up in the migration process?

    Ask because a recent migration from a live site to a local server seemed to have omitted the favicon. That actually wasn’t an issue as I wanted a different favicon for the local server a visual clue to which version of the site I was working on but just wondered if that was an accident.

  • If the favicon is not in the wp-content folder then it will not be migrated. The plugin only moves the files in wp-content.
