    Hi guys,

I got a problem with the sitemap generated by Yoast on a multilingual site with products.

I have a Swedish section of the page, which has always responded to SV. Example:

    mysite.com/sv/produkt/product-name

However, in the URL sitemap in Yoast, which is submitted to Google, the Swedish URL has an SE-extension, like this:

    mysite.com/SE/produkt/product-name

I find this strange. The default language code for Swedish in WPML is SV, and these URL’s have never been named with the SE.
Anyone know how this happened? Is the best CIA to just generate a new sitemap to fix the problem?

    Thanks for your assistance.

    BR

Can you please confirm that WPML is using the correct country code? You can check this from the WPML settings.

    Hello,

WPML is currently using SV as country code for Swedish language. I was earlier attempting to generate a custom language named SE for the Swedish, but the adjust was aborted, and it was never published or visible to the public or Google.

But I do see now, that there is still content from SV in my custom SE-language. What I don’t understand is how it got into the sitemap? It was never published, and thus shouldn’t be indexed.

I find it difficult to manage the connection between WPML and Yoast SEO, is there some recent documentation that I can study, preferably regarding this issue, of course.

    Thanks for your assistance.

    BR,
    Alex
