Fatel error – undefined function

    I fixed it by restoring – I had to go back to Nov 20th and restored the whole public_html folder.

    When I log back in I get two messages..
    An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.
    WordPress 4.0.1 is available! Please update now.

    I attempted the update again and it is all working.

    Apologies for spelling mistake in title..!

    Hi, glad you got it fixed ?? My suggestion would have been to restore WordPress as the plugins_url() function is core to WP so suggests a serious installation issue. All the best, Richard
