Fatel error on install – media.php – THE FIX

    The Fix!

    The WP installation guide says to rename wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php. This appears to have caused the issue.

    What I did:
    1. Rename the file back to wp-config-sample.php on my pc. This is due to renaming permissions on server.

    2. Delete all wp files from the server. Again this is due to renaming permissions on server.

    3. Re-upload the wp file including the wp-config-sample.php file.

    4. Go to the installation url (https://www.website.co.uk/wp-admin/install.php). You should be prompted to enter the database details.

    Everything should work fine. Hope this helps ??

    Personally I always make a copy of wp-config-sample.php, name the copy wp-config.php and work on that.
