    Hi,

I tried to activate the plugin but got the message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/objectiv/public_html/–/wp-content/plugins/stripe-payments/accept-stripe-payments.php on line 36

Any ideas what might be causing the problem?

    Thanks!

    Hi @saleshigher.

Which PHP version is installed on your server?

    Hi Alexander

Wow- thanks for the super fast reply!

    The PHP version is 7.0.27

    Should I change that?

PHP version should be 5.3+ minimum and if it’s not, the error you posted in your first post is displayed. But if you’re really sure your PHP version is 7.0.27, this isn’t the case then.

Were you making a fresh install or updating from previous plugin version?

    Hi Alexander,

I called my host and they were pretty sure it was 7.0.27. I just changed the number to 7.2 and then tried to reactive the plugin. This time it worked!

Really appreciate your assistance. I’ll let you know if any other issues come up.

No problem ?? I still didn’t get what was the reason this happened though. I’m testing on PHP 7.0.22 and can’t reproduce that… oh well ??

Please do post any issues in case you encounter them.
