Recently my website has been plagued by Fatal errors (usually max execution time) in various db files (load.php, entry.php actions.php etc)

Sometimes I can upload a new .php file and the error goes away.Sometimes, I get a 500 error. And sometimes, if I leave the site alone for 30 min, it works just fine.

How do I resolve these issues? They occur daily. My web-provider tries to tell me I need to upgrade, but I know they are wrong.

    Examples of errors:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\Hosting\9158482\html\wp-content\plugins\quick-cache\quick-cache.php on line 42

Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded D:\Hosting\9158482\html\wp-includes\load.php on line 388

Right now, the site seems to work. But it is not reliable. And the errors are varied, not contained to just one section of wp.

What can I do to solve these issues? Do I need to backup everything and re install wordpress?

    Newest issue:
Homepage loads, but secondary pages get timeout error

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\Hosting\9158482\html\wp-includes\functions.wp-scripts.php on line 21

My web-provider tries to tell me I need to upgrade

You means upgrade your version of WordPress, or upgrade your hosting account (i.e. pay more to the host)?

If it’s the former, what version of WordPress are you using? (if it’s not the most recent, then yes, you need to upgrade.) if it’s the latter, you need to find a new host.

I believe she meant the latter, unfortunately. Yes, I know my host is not the greatest (and that’s putting it nicely!) but I don’t want to migrate right now.

As to the wp upgrade, I am currently running 3.3.2 which I believe is the latest version, is it not?

I can access the login page for wp-admin, but get the same error when I enter credentials and attempt to login:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\Hosting\9158482\html\wp-includes\theme.php on line 368

    @shelley
I upgraded to the latest version of WP and the execution errors stopped.

    Thanks!
