When trying to save initial settings on the General Setup page I get these error messages:

Warning: strip_tags() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/username/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/admin/class-admin.php on line 88

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/username/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/admin/class-admin.php:88) in /home/username/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1179

I tried deactivating the speed and cache related plugins, as I know at least one of them does something with the header, but no change. Otherwise I’m clueless.

    I hope someone can help!

    Thanks.

  • I just installed this plugin and I get the exact same error.

One thing that I did note – it actually does seem to save the settings if I click Back… except if I try to change the Ignore Users fields. My Analytics Profile information and any of the selected check boxes are saved – just not the Ignore Users entries. Editors was the default entry and I also added Administrators. Now no entries appear in that field.

I also disabled caching, but to no avail.

I just got the same thing. Never seen this before and I run GA on dozens of sites.

Confirmed here. Fresh install of GA by Yoast. Errors appear if I try to hit Save on any of the settings page. I’m on a LAMP server with WP 4.0.1.

Errors do not occur elsewhere, so it doesn’t effect the rest of the functioning of my site.

This was fixed in GA 5.1.4.

Also just got this error. Guess it wasn’t fully fixed.
