  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Hi Esmi,

Thanks for your help but I have no clue how to do this. Should I just contact my host and have them delete the WP from my cpanel so I can start over, or will this error happen again.

They told me it was not a plugin problem and may happen again.

How can I avoid this from happening all the time? Thank you.

If it’s a new install, then deleting and re-installing should fix the problem. Longer term however, you really need to learn how to use FTP or another file management tool. Plus PhpMyadmin for your database. This is part & parcel of running a site. So either you need to do it or you will have pay someone to do it for you.

Yes its a new install. I will delete and reinstall AND learn FTP.

Thanks so much for your time Esmi!

I had the same problem, and realized that there was a conflict between Theme-my-Login and S2Member. I had just installed theme my login after using S2Member for a while, so I removed Theme-my-Login by FTP with Filezilla. Everything worked properly after that. Hope this helps.
