Fatal errore issue during activation

  • Hi,

    after 6 month wp-cerber is still removed from WordPress plugins. I wolud like to know if there are a news and if is safe to install that.

    I tried to install, but I could not activate that because it triggered a fatal error: “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘?’ in /home/[user]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-cerber/cerber-load.php on line 1808“

    yes I downloaded the version 9.5 from your website.

    Also I tried install to another website and I have the same error.

    Are there a way to know what is the problem?

    You have an outdated and unsupported version of PHP on your website. WP Cerber requires PHP 7.0 or newer.

    Thank you for your reply. I updated to PHP 8, but I have always the same error. Now it shows me just “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”

    Update: the web sites where I tried were moved from one hosting to another. Now I tried install to a web site that was not moved and it works correctly.

    When you see a fatal error message like that, you need to check the server error log for details.

    Thank you, unfortunately I don’t see error related to this plugin in error log.

    Another question: can you tell me if the version 8.6 send a email to admin when someone delete an admin user?

    WP Cerber can send an alert if a user is deleted regardless of the deleted user’s role: https://wpcerber.com/wordpress-notifications-made-easy/

    You need to ask your hosting provider to assist you with the error. Such software errors must be logged to the error log.
