    Hello,

I just tried to deactive the woocommerce plugin and reactive the latest plugin WooCommerce 3.4.4 and I get this message when trying to reactive:-

Fatal error: Cannot declare class Dokan_Category_Walker, because the name is already in use in /home/domains/vol2/872/1946872/user/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/dokan-lite/includes/widgets/menu-category.php on line 0

    I am using WordPress 4.9.7.

The entire site is down at the moment. Please can you help.

    Thanks

  • That’s an error with Dokan, not WooCommerce. There is no Dokan_Category_Walker class in WooCommerce.

If you have access to the dashboard, deactivate your Dokan Lite plugin.

If you don’t have access to the dashboard, gain access to your site’s files area using FTP or your host’s file manager system. Find the dokan-lite directory at:
    wp-content/plugins/dokan-lite
and rename it to say old-dokan-lite. This will take it out of play and your dashboard and front end should work.

Going forward, ensure your dokan-lite plugin is the latest verison. If so, look for the dokan-lite support forum. Dokan is not supported here.

Okay that seems to have done the trick.

Back up and running and no data lost.

    Thank you so much. ??

Just another one quick one – is the FTP hosts manager system available through my webhost providers account? Just in case this happens again.

Most webhosts have their own file manager system in Plesk or cPanel.

To use FTP, you would need to setup an FTP username and password with the webhost, then you can use other software such as FileZilla to connect to your files area and manage your files.

    I see – okay that’s great.

    Thank you.

I noticed that when i run the site for first time it takes a long time to load and on mobile you can actually see it uploading.

I ran a google performance test on it to see how it can it be improved and it said that opening up the differene css style sheets was causing the most delay.

Do you have any idea how to speed this process.

thanks. and thank you for your advice on these issues
