Fatal Error with FB & Google

Message received after our developers updated 15 plugins and WP to 3.9. I am brand new to the the backend of the site so no idea what exactly was updated but know there were 15 updates needed and after developers updated, someone complained they couldn’t use Google or FB to login.
Developers are saying they customized plugin and it will take 7 hours to fix FB API. but that doesn’t explain why Google won’t work, does it? We are non-profit and no budget for a $500 fix, also don’t believe we should be at their mercy with such a small site. I’m trying to get more control over it so we do not need so much custom developer work.
