I deactivated the Pro version of the plugin and the site is restored. It appears the Pro version of the plugin failed to update and caused a fatal error.

An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 74 of the file /home/gandydan/public_html/wp-content/plugins/backup-backup-pro/backup-backup-pro.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Failed opening required ‘/home/gandydan/public_html/wp-content/plugins/backup-backup-pro/classes/updates.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php81/root/usr/share/pear’) in /home/gandydan/public_html/wp-content/plugins/backup-backup-pro/backup-backup-pro.php:74

    Hi @texteditor

Basing on the error you received, it look like something removed our updates.php file.

If you’re using some security plugin or jetpack security plugin it’s very likely that they’re responsible of that removal.

I recommend you to download your fresh premium plugin copy from SellCodes directly and try to upload it. Then make sure updates.php and core.php is whitelisted from checks.

Especially when during meanwhile there was no update.

If you don’t have any security plugin, check for hosting provider security solutions or if you’re on managed hosting, contact your provider to whitelist these files, they’re secure.

    Thank you!
