    Hello,

I was trying to update wordfence and got a fatal error. I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it but, upon activation, I still have the Fatal error.

I have also tried to delete wflogs folder but same thing.

    Can you please help?

PS: I have a premium account

    Thanks.

  • Hi @vladnice,

If you check php’s error_log can you tell me the fatal error message that you are seeing?

Your website might also display the error message instead.

    Hi @wfdave,

This message is displayed on the plugins page:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

In the debug.log file, I have:

[30-Nov-2019 10:01:07 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4198400 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/***.com/httpdocs/wp-includes/functions.php on line 687

    Thank you.

Can you please help me with this issue?

    Hey @vladnice,

This is a PHP memory error. Can you please ask your host to increase your resources to see if it helps?

If it doesn’t help, can you please open a ticket at support.wordfence.com since you’re a Premium user? We’re not allowed to address premium issues in the Wordfence.org forums. Also, it’ll likely expedite the support process.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
