Hi, I just updated to 4.6.0, then I have fatal error with this plugin.
I downgraded to 4.5.3 (I thought previous verison was 4.5.4, but I could not find it)

Is there anything that I can do for debuging?

    Hello @nobo73

I am sorry to read about your issue. We found out what the issue is. Just to confirm, you were using the grid view, right?

To fix this problem please follow the below procedure:

    • Option the wp_options table in the WordPress database. You can do so with phpMyAdmin or a database explorer provided by your webhost
    • Delete the setting wsal_events-nav-type
    • Refresh the page / activate the plugin

That should do the trick. Can you please confirm if this fixes the issue?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hello @nobo73

Here is an easier way to address this. Can you please download the WP Activity Log grid fix patch?

Once you download this plugin build simple install it as a normal plugin (add new etc) and once prompted, select to overwrite the current WP Activity Log install.

That should do the trick. Can you please confirm the fix?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Have a great day.

@robert681 When will you release a new plugin version? I don’t want to install your patch manually on over 30 sites.

    Helllo Matthias,

We are not sure if we will release an official plugin update just for this fix. The number of users using the Grid View is very small, so this is affecting a very small percentage of the users, who can do with the patch for now.

If there are more issues we’d be more than happy to do a maintenance update.

The patch does not fix my issue. My issue is specific to the WooCommerce plugin addon. I was able to resolve the issue after installing the patch and uninstalling all the other addons. This did not affect my site because all the products have been merged into a single product.

I will note that the upgrade did not automatically remove or disable the other product as described in the plugin description.

    Hello @hiphopservers

Your problem seems to be something different than the issue reported in this ticket. Please open your own thread so we can assist you. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Not to put too find a point on it, but if you’re causing fatal errors in people’s admins, you might want to consider that a priority fix.

I was NOT using grid view in WP multisite, and I’m getting fatal errors in my activity log.

Edit to add: Okay, I went into the db and deleted the wsal_events-nav-type line. I wanted to see the setting, just to be sure, and it was ‘infinite scroll’. Deleting the line has the interface working again, so yay, but this may be more than just a grid display problem?

    Hello @vickifarmer,

Thank you for your feedback. So far the only error we know of is when people were using the grid view and they update their plugin. Based on our stats very few people use this and we have a patch for this already.

If you got a fatal error for something else, please open your own forum thread so we can assist you.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

I had previously tried the “reset setting” which didn’t work, and after that, double checked the wsal_events-nav-type option didn’t exist, which didn’t help. The patched version fixed my critical error too. Thanks!

    @robert681

I was already able to resolve my issue by removing the merged plugins.
