After 6.4.0 upgrade (tested several times), I got a message on my administration interface of wordpress that tells “You’ve got a critical error. Check your email administration address”, or something like that … (but I did not receive any error, nor am I able to see any error on my error files on my OVH server log files)

PS: I am on PHP 8.1
I had to revert to version 6.3.0 and install it manually to get my administration interface working again.

Checking another upgrade to 6.4.0 after that (in case the trouble was during the upgrade), got the same behaviour …

(6.4.0) definitely breaks my wordpress administration page.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi folks,
Right up front, I want to note that PHP 8.1 is “bleeding edge” and has not been tested by me, nor is WordPress itself compatible with PHP 8.1.

That said, if you (or anyone else) can find the actual error message indicating why EWWW IO is throwing fits on PHP 8.1, I will certainly look into fixing it.

As I mentioned in the other thread, we’ll have a fix for the MySQL table upgrade in 6.4.1.
Additionally, upgrading to WP 5.9 should also resolve the issue–it doesn’t fix our table upgrade on MySQL 8.0, but it prevents that from being a “fatal” error and breaking the wp-admin.

I just installed 6.4.1 and I don’t have the critical error anymore
