• I get this error when trying to update the WordPress installation or when trying to update plugins.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in D:\Hosting\11464758\html\wp-admin\includes\file.php on line 159

I did the manual update of wordpress but I still get the error for all plugins.

Can you help me fix it?

It is but so are some other sites I run, but on different servers, and they don’t have this problem.

@manofevent Please create your own thread.

And as for shared hosting, some servers might be good and others might not. I would contact your host about this issue.

David Uzelac I reaaly appreciate your effort in helping me but I have no idea on what thread means.. Am just two months old blogger and you can take a look on how the problem looks like. https://www.curiousgang.com thats my blog site
