Do you perhaps recall any recent changes you may have made to the site prior to this error surfacing (such as plugin/theme updates, adding custom code)?

I understand that you have already deactivated all plugins except for WooCommerce, however I’d suggest performing a full conflict test to rule out any theme/plugin conflicts.

To perform a full conflict test, you can do the following:

• Clear the browser cache
• Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
• Check to see if the error is still displayed when updating a product.

If the issue is no longer present, it means there was a conflict, and you can reactivate the theme or plugins one by one (gradually) until the cause of the issue is found, more info about running a conflict test is here.

You can clone your site to a staging environment and perform tests without modifying your live site or impacting customers. This is possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If you don’t want to test on your live site, then create a staging site using a plugin called?WP Staging.

Additionally, it may be helpful to check if there are any custom code modifications made to the WooCommerce plugin or theme files. If you have made any modifications, try to revert them and check if the issue is resolved.

This could be due to caching. Can you please have your host purge the site cache from the following plugin and disable it temporarily?

Hi! As mentioned above, I created a whole new website as staging and replicated same issue in my installation. That being said, cache and any other factors were removed leaving this only to woocommerce alone.

WPMUDEV folkes helped me check this out provided me a temporary fix for this.

This is their message:

This is trying to add “True” as an object, in PHP the object index uses object->index, so I went ahead and added the print_r($stored_state) just before that line to understand what type of data the stored_state is and it is an array which brings the error “Attempt to assign property “there_are_now_products” on array” since array you would access?array[‘index’]
If we go ahead with the troubleshooting and check the get_stored_state() the Woocommerce itself define the return type as an?object.

A workaround to prevent this is to replace the /woocommerce/src/Admin/RemoteInboxNotifications/StoredStateSetupForProducts.php line 119?from:
$stored_state = RemoteInboxNotificationsEngine::get_stored_state();
to
$stored_state = (object)?RemoteInboxNotificationsEngine::get_stored_state();
But it is important to say that this isn’t a permanent fix, since there are multiple hooks and functions that run on a WordPress post update ( as the Product is just a post type ) you will need to contact the Woocommerce team to find out why it would be?happening.

So the website with this fix is indeed working.
Even though it’s weird that you have no other similar report or thread related tot his issue, I suggest you go ahead and check it with the developers.

I’m glad to hear you’ve managed to fix the problem temporarily. I tried replicating the issue on my test sites but failed to do so, the products are being updated with no issue.

I’m starting to think this might be a server issue, can you please try moving the test site to another server or a local host?

Also, does this happen with PHP 7.4?

Which means I am not the only one having this issue. I am kind of waiting of a woocommerce fix for this. Meanwhile I apply the above fix that works until wordpress has some update and I have to apply the fix again.

I have found this thread where the environment is tested and definitely is not something on WPMUDEV end.
