When I try and activate my theme that I uploaded it shows this error and my blog comes up with this error until I remove the theme from my content folder. After it is removed it returns as before with original default theme.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_sidebar() in /home/www/tammygravina/wordpress2/www,tammygravina.com/wp-content/themes/pixeled/functions.php on line 10

    What is happening?

  • If this is correct
    WordPress version: 2.0.11
Then that’s your problem. I don’t remember what version exactly but I think below 2.3 didn’t have bultin widget support and needed a separate widget plugin.

Thank you. In the readme file it says it is WordPress Version 2.0
I guess I need to upgrade. I will look into it.

    Thanks again.
