I’m getting the following message when attempting a scan:

[MAR 22 21:31:15] Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 503332424 bytes) in /home/lilpqfoa/public_html/wp-includes/Requests/Transport/cURL.php on line 484 There has been a critical error on this website.

I’ve increased the PHP memory limit to 512M and I’ve also tried increasing the amount of memory that Wordfence takes to 300 per your FAQ. Neither is working.

Hi @jgold723, sorry to see you’re having this issue.

The memory error is likely to be memory exhaustion occurring outside of PHP somewhere on the server. The operating system log files and web server log files will likely show if memory is being exhausted somewhere outside of PHP with a more descriptive error.

We normally recommend trying recommended PHP memory settings, but you’ve already tried this so as it doesn’t remedy the problem, I think it’s worth reporting the fatal error text to your host and see if they will review the OS and server log files with you. In previous cases of exhausted memory errors, that has been a positive route to take.

Let me know how you get on!

    Thanks,

    Peter.
