Fatal Error when installing Yoast

    Got this error when installing Yoast
    Warning: require_once(C:\Websites\LocalUser\JCPWebsite\blog\wp-content\plugins\duplicate-p): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Websites\LocalUser\JCPWebsite\blog\wp-content\plugins\duplicate-post\duplicate-post-admin.php on line 6

    Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘C:\Websites\LocalUser\JCPWebsite\blog\wp-content\plugins\duplicate-post/duplicate-post-options.php’ (include_path=’.;C:\php\pear’) in C:\Websites\LocalUser\JCPWebsite\blog\wp-content\plugins\duplicate-post\duplicate-post-admin.php on line 6

    Have tried renaming the folder theme but it says its open. I can’t get into the admin to delete it.

    How can I resolve this fatal error

  • You will need to rename the plugin directory itself or rename the plugin “duplicate-post”. The issue is the Duplicate Post Options plugin.

    Once you rename, visit the wp-admin and it should start working again. Let us know if that does not work.

    Thanks. I actually deleted the Yoast plug in folder and restarted. That worked and so deleted the offending copy,duplicate post plug in. renaming would have also worked I am sure that renaming the folder would have worked
