I’ve tried a few different themes, and each time I try to customize it I get errors.

Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Customize_Setting’ not found in /homepages/2/d142238593/htdocs/duaghhouse/wp-includes/class-wp-customize-manager.php on line 685

    Site is DuaghHouse(dot)com

    What could it be?

    Thanks!

I’ve tried a few different themes, and each time I try to customize it I get errors.

    – First off, check if your themes are compatible with WP 4.1

    – If they are compatible, try deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – do get the same error when you try to customize the default Twenty Fifteen theme?

I tried everything, including activating Twenty Fifteen and get same error.

    Thanks,

Have you tried reinstalling WP Core files manually? Download a new copy of WP to your local computer and then, via FTP or Cpanel, replace all files and folders EXCEPT wp-config.php file and wp-content folder with new copies. Best to delete the old versions before uploading the new ones to be sure they’re cleanly replaced.
