    Hi there,

I have a fresh install of WordPress with Multisite enabled. Right after installing and network activating Better WP Security, I went to create a database backup from the plugin’s dashboard – however, I get this error message:

“Fatal error: Call to a member function execute_backup() on a non-object in /domain.com/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/inc/admin/process.php on line 113”

The same error comes up if I go to the Backup tab and try to create one from there. I’m puzzled because I had used this on a Multisite before with no problem.

  • I would suggest uninstalling it and using another plugin to backup the site and see if that works.

It seems everyone is having the same issue with this plugin.

Hopefully the developers will resolve it and in the future everyone can use it again.

I would not spend too much time on a plugin that appears to have an major bug, there are other options.

I too am receiving the same error. The first time I tried to generate a backup the error message pointed to line 113 on process.php. The second time I tried to generate a backup the error message pointed to line 714 on process.php.

If anyone can come up with a fix, please post it!

    Thanks!

I deactivated and uninstalled and installed All In One WP Security instead.

It happens since the last update. Before everything was fine. With installations allready set up i get the error message after clicking the backup button. With new Installation the error message shows up everywhere. Hope you will find a solution soon.

    kind regards

I’m sure the Dev (@Bit51 @chriswiegman) know by now. But if not, I’m sure they will soon. I dropped Chris a line on his site with a link to this thread.
