Fatal Error upon Activation Attempt

  • I have downloaded and added the MailChimp plugin to WooCommerce in my test environment. When I attempt to active the plugin I am getting the following error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /hermes/bosnacweb01/bosnacweb01bi/b582/dot.mickeys/public_html/acrylic-awards.net/nametagpros/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/includes/api/class-mailchimp-api.php on line 859

    Is there something I need to edit in the API to get past this?
