    Hi,

    I’m sure the solution for this error message is somewhere in the forum, but I having a hard time finding it:

    Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0

    I got that message since today morning (Panamanian time), I only can’t get rid of it when I deactivate Autoptimize.

    Theme hasn’t been updated since a couple of weeks, and W3 Total Cache is deactivated due to order reasons.

    Right now, I waiting for hosting support to change PHP version back to 7. For a reason I don’t know, PHP version was set to 5.6 (maybe server maintenance).

    I would appreciate if you can guide me to find a solution, or maybe, where to look for missettings or incompatibilities.

    I hope to hear from you soon.

    Regards,

    Alvin

    That sounds (well, is) an output buffer conflict with another plugin or with your theme @iluminancia, no easy fix except for disabling/ re-enabling plugins (and optionally briefly switching themes) one by one to see which one is causing the conflict (maybe also have a look in your php errorlog, that might have relevant info).

    AO works with both PHP5.6 (and earlier even) as with PHP7.x, so that would unlike change a thing.

    now if AO has been running smoothly for the last x weeks, months or years and the problem only appears since this morning, the question becomes: what changed? did you install plugins or switch theme? or did you perform updates?

    Hi Frank,

    Thank for a quick reply.

    The most recent plugin update is 2 days ago for 404page. I deactivated it and reactivated AO, but the issue remains.

    Other plugins were updated more than 1 week ago, without any problems.

    Theme was updated 1 week ago, also, without any problems.

    I think that the issue with AO and W3TC (error with Page Caching) maybe related with changes in server configuration, settings, etc. Besides the change of PHP version from 7.1 to 5.6, I found that following parameters were change:

    memory_limit = 512M
    max_execution_time = 180
    max_input_vars = 2000

    Those values are new settings done a couple of hours ago.

    I’ll keep you posted.

    Regards,

    Alvin
