I am being told that my Facebook app is connected but implementing the shortcode is resulting in the fatal error: Uncaught OAuthException: (#100) Unknown fields: created_time,object_id,status_type,from,type. thrown in /home/dhnxhmnu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/recent-facebook-posts/includes/facebook-php-sdk/base_facebook.php on line 1271

    Hi there,

What did you set as your Facebook ID? This should be the (numeric) ID of any public page, you can use findmyfacebookid.com for this. Also, how long ago did you create your Facebook Application?

Thanks for your quick response! It looks like I pasted the URL in the numeric ID field, everything seems to be working now!

Good! I’ll make this more clear in a future version. ??

Ps. if you have time, would you be so kind to leave a review?

Hi Danny, I found that I might have used the wrong ID but now can’t find how to edit it, it only allows me to edit the secret code but not the ID, where do I need to go for that? Thanks

Hi gaeln, are you trying to change the ID in the plugin settings (in your WP Admin panel). Should be able to change it there…

For sure Danny – also, I think you made it plenty clear in the directions! I just must have not actually copied the number when I went to paste it in the field.

Yes I am trying to do it ther Danny but there isn’t any clear way to change that number in the WP admin panel, only other parts will edit. So it’s my main facebook account ID number that’s needed, not the new one given for the app? I hope I find a way into it soon.

It’s actually in basic connections that I have the App ID number and App secret code. Is it correct to have the actual App ID number there and not the public FB account ID?

Hi Danny, are you able to help with the above issue? I’m considering deactivating this plugin as I’ve not been able to sort out this issue. Thanks

    Hi Gaeln,

Sure thing, but I’m not sure what’s going wrong. If you go to Settings > Recent Facebook Posts you should just be able to change the Facebook page ID. The field order is like this.

    – Facebook App ID
    – Facebook App Secret
    Facebook Page ID or slug

The third field contains your page id. Your can get your page id using this website.

    Good luck.

Hi Danny, OMG! It’s working now, thank you! I had misunderstood that the Facebook Page ID had to be the website and not the numerical number! Now I get it and it’s working! So much to learn. ??
