Fatal Error: Unauthorized Message Displays “1” and Removes Header/Foot
-
I am facing a significant issue with the Ultimate Member plugin’s page restriction functionality, which now appears to be affecting the page layout in an irreversible way.
After setting a page’s access permissions with restrictions, the page began displaying only the text “1” when accessed by unauthorized users. Additionally, the page’s header and footer have completely disappeared, as if the page layout itself has been broken. I’ve tried adjusting the permissions to “No Login Required,” but the issue persists, and it appears that this error is now irreversible.
Here are further details on the issue:
- Page Builder: Elementor
- Expected Behavior: Page should display the full layout with the custom unauthorized message when restricted
- Current Behavior: Page displays only “1” with no header or footer, and setting it to open access does not restore the original layout
Troubleshooting steps I’ve tried:
- Confirmed the custom unauthorized message is correctly set in Ultimate Member’s settings.
- Attempted to reset the page’s permissions to “No Login Required,” but the error continues.
- Cleared all website caches to eliminate any caching conflicts.
- Ensured all plugins, themes, and WordPress core are fully up-to-date.
Thank you for your help on this urgent matter.
