• Hi,

I would appreciate if anyone can help me. I’m new on WordPress and was trying to apply the Arras theme but kept showing Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Widget’ not found in /home/homeidea/public_html/wp-content/themes/arras/library/widgets.php on line 7 and every other themes i tried applying.

I’ve deleted them and re-upload them but still the same problem.

Am I do something wrong? I’m using version 2.6.3.

I will appreciate any help to rectify this.

    Thanks.

  • wait.. you still using WP version 2.6.3 ?

Your version of WordPress is too old for most themes.

    Thanks guys…

I have updated to 3.1.3 but still tells me to upgrade on the dashboard.

    I can’t figure what i’m doing wrong.

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – re-running the upgrade manually using wp-admin/upgrade.php.

the reinstall of 3.1.3 is the best solution IMHO

Thanks a lot esmi and tsany. I’ve been able to resolve this issue by reinstalling the upgrade manually. I so appreciate your assistance.
