    This morning I opened my dashboard and Wordfence said it needed an update, so I hit update automatically, and then my site went down! 500 Error all over the place!

    The Front end says: The website encountered an error while retrieving https://althealththc.com/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

    The Error Log says:
    on line 15
    PHP Fatal error: func_get_args(): Can’t be used as a function parameter in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfDB.php

    and

    WordPress database error Incorrect key file for table ‘wp_w3tc_cdn_queue’; try to repair it for query select count(*) from wp_w3tc_cdn_queue made by do_action(‘wp_ajax_nopriv_wordfence_doScan’), call_user_func_array, wordfence::ajax_doScan_callback, wfScan::wfScanMain, wfScanEngine->go, wfScanEngine->doScan, wfIssues->getSummaryItems, wfIssues->updateSummaryItems, W3_Db->query, W3_DbCache->query, W3_DbCallUnderlying->query, W3_Db->query, W3_DbProcessor->query, W3_Db->default_query

    I have no idea how to fix this, this morning. I just woke up and this is my work site. I am at a loss of words. Please help!

  • Have you tried disabling all plugins?

    I can from my FTP. I haven’t yet. I’ll try that and let you know.

    Sounds like Wordfence has caused this issue.

    Try disabling the plugin, but if you cannot access your admin area, you may need to do this through the database. You need to access the wp_options table, and change the ‘active_plugins’ key. Take a copy of the content of the key first, just in case you make a mistake.

    Or, if you don’t want to mess with the database, you can rename the folder that contains the Wordfence plugin, and WP should automatically remove it from it’s active plugins list.

    Ok, so the front end came up, but my dash board is still down. It comes up with an error: W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /usr/home/wash20/www/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.

    Obviously I will reinstall that particular plugin and go 1 by 1 to figure out the culprit, *cough*Wordfence*cough*.

    I freaked out a little prematurely. I thank you for your input. I renamed wordfence’s file from my FTP and boom, everything is back to normal minus Wordfence plugin. I think I will be leaving it off. It seems to have caused me multiple problems.

    Thanks again!

    You’re welcome. Glad I could be of help.

    Cheers!

    Hi I have a similar problem, tried to update wordpress and my whole site crashed. This is the error I’m getting when I open the site, please check and let me know what to do. I can’t access wp-admin either.
