Fatal error: require_once(), site not loading

  • My site is not loading, the following message is dispalyed

    Warning: require_once(wordfenceHash.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in xxxx/xxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfScanEngine.php on line 3

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘wordfenceHash.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/altphp/lib/php’) in /xxxx/xxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfScanEngine.php on line 3

  • You may want to try removing the Wordfence folder via FTP if you are unable to access the WordPress login via a browser.
    -Connect via FTP
    -Remove the Wordfence directory (or folder if you prefer). If your site has the standard –WordPress structure, you can do this by simply deleting the wp-content/plugins/wordfence/ directory and everything underneath it.
